Software Developer in Kanata, Ontario


VirtaMove is seeking a Software Developer to work with a highly skilled and motivated team. The ideal candidate loves troubleshooting and solving challenging technical issues.

Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, debug and maintain high-quality code for our VirtaMove products
  • Develop requirements and specifications and assist in the architectural vision
  • Work closely with the software manager, field and QA teams
  • Evaluate business and software requirements to design, develop, test and implement new software
  • Perform sufficient unit and system testing to ensure delivery of quality software
  • Maintain proper documentation and use software development methodologies
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve product releases with respect to quality, ease of use, and time to market
  • Development experience with C and C++ is a must. C#, powershell, and VB are desirable

Inside Sales Representative in Markham, Ontario


VirtaMove is seeking a results-oriented, technically-savvy inside sales person to help grow our software business in the enterprise and service-provider markets.
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for identifying and establishing meetings with qualified contacts within targeted segments.  Experience with software sales, and exceeding qualified lead and revenue goals is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through developing new inquiries and following up on marketing-generated inquiries
  • Key contact identification/org chart building
  • Identify and qualify potential prospects through proactive outbound calls
  • Marketing campaign follow-up, lead qualification, and meeting booking
  • Help drive attendance to marketing events (e.g. webinars, tradeshows, seminars etc.)
  • Maintain level of metrics to meet activity goals- call volume, email campaigns, etc.
  • Data entry and lead management in Hubspot
  • Management of leads and first meetings through opportunity development process

Required Qualifications:

VirtaMove is looking for a technically savvy Software Sales Representative who will play a critical role in driving new business and developing and maintaining customer relationships. The qualified candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle for VirtaMove’s Migration Intelligence Suite and Professional Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and follow-up on new leads and referrals
  • Harvest existing base of clients, positioning additional services and solutions to meet their needs
  • Present and sell VirtaMove solutions and services
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead to onboarding
  • Act as liaison between the customer and the Engineering and Professional Services teams
  • Account Management: The Software Sales Representative will be the customer’s main point of contact for assigned accounts, pre-sales and post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Travel to customer sites is required (25% – 50%)

Windows Server/Field Implementation Expert in Markham, Ontario


VirtaMove is looking for Windows Server/Field Implementation Expert in Toronto.

Windows Server/Field Implementation Experts play an important role in building customer relationships while driving the adoption of VirtaMove’s products. The qualified candidate will be responsible for pre and post-sale delivery of VirtaMove’s Window Server application migration solution. Primary responsibilities include: remote and on-site application migrations using Migration Intelligence (MI) Suite, providing technical guidance, and ensuring a successful customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing migrations using MI Suite including assessment, migration, and post migration trouble-shooting
  • Understanding and communicating customer requirements
  • Presenting and demonstrating MI Suite to prospects, customers, and partners

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate has 3 – 5 years of relevant experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar
  • 3+ years of experience in using Window Server
  • Familiarity with server migration process, security and hardening of servers;
  • Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
  • Knowledge of Networking and Active Directory

Software Automation Test Specialist in Kanata, Ontario


VirtaMove is seeking a Software Automation Test Specialist to join its product development team. You will assume a key role in validating and testing VirtaMove’s suite of software to ensure that product releases are of the highest quality. This role involves creating and executing test cases, reporting test results and findings in an organized fashion in our test management tool and bug tracking system. You will work closely with members of the development team to ensure issues are resolved quickly and thoroughly. The position requires a good grasp of the types of environments required to emulate enterprise data centers and experience with the installation and configuration of server operating systems and enterprise applications.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Develop and implement test automation for component, integration or system testing.
  • Create and execute manual tests for component, integration or system testing.
  • Maintain current regression test suites and create new automated tests for new feature work. Suggest new approaches to existing or planned testing leading to a more scalable, reliable and usable framework.
  • Participate in dialog with developers in discussing current and proposed architecture, defects, enhancements and other issues.
  • Work closely with the Customer Success, Product Support, Product Management and Development teams to provide subject matter expertise on improvements or bugs.
  • Ensuring product defect reports are logged quickly and accurately, and that resolved problems are verified and closed.
  • Maintain test automation scripts and tools as required.

IT Applications and Server Support Analyst in Kanata, Ontario


VirtaMove requires a very technical IT Applications and Server Support Analyst to help with the post-sales delivery of VirtaMove’s Window Server application migration solution. The IT Applications and Server Support Analyst will provide third tier triage application migration support. The candidate should have very strong IT troubleshooting skills and have a broad range of IT experience to draw upon.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Field Engineering team; perform migrations for customers, as needed
  • Performing migrations using MI Suite including assessment, migration, and post migration trouble-shooting
  • Understanding and communicating customer requirements
  • Support Field team by handling escalated helpdesk tickets. Investigate and troubleshoot systems to move migrations to successful completion
  • Occasional travel may be required

Experience:

  • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage
  • Server infrastructure maintenance
  • Onboarding equipment and resources for staff
  • Security systems support and administration
  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in computer science, related field or combined education and experience
  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar
